Symptoms that could indicate heart disease

In the past few years, stress, lack of physical activity unhealthy lifestyle, unhealthy diets, increased social stressors, increase workplace stressors have contributed to a younger demographic visiting the cardiologist at an earlier stage of their lives.

If you have a family history of death from heart disease in people younger than 50 years of age, it is highly important to visit the cardiologist between the ages of 30 and 35 for a for full cardiac work up at least once a year. The symptoms of heart disease are not difficult to detect but once they manifest it is important to address with a cardiologist as soon as possible.
The following symptoms could indicate problems with your heart:
- Palpitations; if you perceive your heartbeat, or if you suddenly feel your heart beating faster than normal.
- Fatigue; a feeling of shortness of breath and tiredness with physical activity
- Chest pain; pain located in the chest that can also travel to the arms the jaw and the back
